We grew up in England and just can’t help loving it.
Particularly Manchester, Stockport and the industrial north.
Who wouldn’t be proud to have grown up in the world’s first industrial city and all it has given the world?

The Manchester Bee has been a symbol of Manchester since 1842, representing the city’s hard-working spirit and the hive of activity created by its workers and industries. It became closely associated with Manchester during the Industrial Revolution, when the city grew into one of the world’s most important manufacturing centres.

Often described as the world’s first industrial city, Manchester led the Industrial Revolution during the 18th and 19th centuries. Its cotton mills, engineering works, canals, and later railways transformed the city into a global centre of industry, innovation, and trade. Goods manufactured in Manchester were exported around the world, earning it the nickname “Cottonopolis” and helping to shape the modern industrial economy.

Today, the Manchester Bee remains a proud symbol of the city’s resilience, industry, and community spirit. Following the Manchester Arena attack in 2017, the bee became an even more powerful emblem of unity and strength for Mancunians everywhere.
